Meeting with the Chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group

On May 13, 2024, in the MFA of Turkmenistan a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and members of the delegation of the Japanese parliament led by the chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen interparliamentary friendship Group, member of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan Endo Toshiaki.

The parties discussed the directions for the development of cooperation between the countries, focusing on interaction in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.

An essential topic of discussion was the holding of the first Summit of countries, participating in the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue this year.

During the meeting, sides also emphasized the important role of interparliamentary relations, which are one of the key areas for expanding partnership between two countries. In this regard, the importance of the Turkmen-Japanese parliamentary friendship group was noted.
