Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain accredited in Turkmenistan

On September 15, 2025, on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova accepted credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Turkmenistan Bassam Ahmed Ali Marzouk.

On behalf of the head of state, the Chairperson of the national parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to the responsible post and wished him success in strengthening friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

Having expressed gratitude for the good wishes and hospitality, the Ambassador conveyed warm greetings from the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag.

During the meeting, the diplomat was thoroughly acquainted with the activities of the Mejlis and the work carried out within the framework of improving national legislation, as well as with the priority areas of Turkmenistan's peace-loving foreign policy. Particular attention was paid to the significant role of our country's creative initiatives in strengthening the foundations of peace, stability and prosperity in the world.

In addition, an exchange of views took place on a wide range of Turkmen-Bahraini interstate relations, the parties noted the successful development of bilateral and multifaceted cooperation, including that carried out within the framework of the United Nations and other authoritative international structures.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Turkmenistan Bassam Ahmet Ali Marzouk assured that he will make every effort to further strengthen friendly Turkmen-Bahraini relations based on trust and mutual respect.
