The International Oil and Gas Forum has begun in Ashgabat
On October 22, 2025, the 30th International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025” began at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
Representatives from dozens of countries around the world are participating in this large-scale forum, which is being held in a hybrid format.
The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by members of the government, heads of industry departments, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan and authoritative international organizations, specialists from well-known oil and gas companies and financial institutions, experts, representatives of public organizations, the media, foreign guests, and others.
At the opening ceremony, an Аddress by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants was read out.
The participants then visited the exhibition, which featured pavilions representing the country's ministries and agencies, local enterprises, and leading global oil companies.
The forum continued in the afternoon with an international conference under the motto “Energy. Innovation. Development.”
The plenary session “Shaping the Future of Global Energy in the International Year of Peace and Trust – Innovation, Energy Transition, and Strategic Cooperation” featured speeches by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the Chairman of ENOC and Dragon Oil, Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, Executive Vice President of PETRONAS, President of the International Gas Union, and others.
During the meeting, issues related to reducing carbon dioxide emissions into the environment, introducing innovative technologies, and increasing renewable energy sources in the energy sector as a whole were discussed. At the same time, the need for a balanced approach was noted, ensuring the harmonious integration of the development of the fuel and energy complex with programs to reduce the carbon footprint.
On the second day, the forum continues its work within the framework of thematic sessions.
