Meeting with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the UNRCCA

On September 10, 2025, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Kaha Imnadze.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UNRCCA in the context of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly that has begun its work.

The key subject of the negotiations was the Priority Positions of Turkmenistan at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. It was emphasized that many of them correlate with the mandate of the Centre. In this regard, the Turkmen side confirmed its readiness to actively cooperate with the UNRCCA on their implementation.
