A meeting at the headquarters of the Immigration Bureau of Thailand between Ambassador M.Mashalov and the Commissioner of the Thai Immigration Bureau.

On the 13th of February a meeting was held at the headquarters of the Immigration Bureau of Thailand between Ambassador M.Mashalov and the Commissioner of the Thai Immigration Bureau, Police Lieutenant General Panumas Boonyalug.

The Thai side congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive support in matters of migration cooperation. The sides confirmed their intention to further develop cooperation between the relevant authorities of the two countries.

The Turkmen side proposed to intensify joint work in the field of migration. In particular, issues related to the prevention of illegal migration, combating related offenses, as well as creating appropriate conditions for persons in need of protection in accordance with international norms were discussed.

The importance of strengthening cooperation in this area with international organizations was also emphasized.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to maintain regular contacts in order to further develop bilateral cooperation in the field of migration.
