THE DELEGATION OF TURKMENISTAN TOOK PART IN THE GLOBAL INFORMATION FORUM ORGANIZED BY THE ASIA-PACIFIC BROADÇASTING UNION AND THE TURKISH RADIO AND TV COMPANY

From July 29 to July 31, 2019, the Turkmen delegation took part in the fifth Global Information Forum organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and the Turkish State Radio and Television Company (TRT).

The forum participants discussed a number of important issues, in particular the activities of the media at the world level.

Ibrahim Eren, Director General of the Turkish State Radio and TV Company, noted that “at present, the media activity is one of the most important global issues. Since now there is a huge amount of digital sources of information, including access to information through social networks. Today in the world there are many, so-called "fake news", which are false information. And this, in turn, imposes more responsibility on employees of state news agencies. ”

During the forum, participants discussed joint experience in various areas of journalism. Also the role of the media and the principles of their management at present, including the role of television and radio, including live broadcasts, as well as other issues related to the transition to digital systems have been discussed.
