WORLD MARTIAL ARTS MASTERSHIPS COMMITTEE IS INTERESTED IN COOPERATION WITH TURKMENISTAN

On February 4, 2020, a meeting was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the delegation of the Republic of Korea headed by the Secretary General of the World Martial Arts Masterships Committee Jae Keun Choi.

After exchanging warm greetings, the parties noted the vital role of sport in strengthening of friendship bonds and cooperation between countries and peoples. Being an organization established in 2016, the World Martial Arts Masterships Committee stands for the promotion of martial arts games through hosting sport events and festivals, primarily the World Martial Arts Masterships. 

It was noted that the Turkmen national team won the first place at the World Martial Arts Masterships held in 2019 in the South Korean city Chungju. The guests highly appraised the development of sports movement in Turkmenistan which turned into one of the leading centres for hosting the large-scale international events. Expressing hope for the development of cooperation with Turkmenistan, the delegation of the World Martial Arts Masterships Committee proposed to consider the issues of hosting the World Martial Arts Masterships in Turkmenistan in the future.
