Turkmen students in Malaysia devoted their exhibition and presentations at international cultural evening to the year of neutrality and peace.

On March 13, 2015 in the multipurpose hall of the Technological University of Petronas there was an international cultural evening, during which students from around the world in colorful national costumes performed their traditional folk songs and dances, and also took part in the exhibition of national products, souvenirs and various art objects.

With the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia, Turkmen students devoted their exhibition stand and dance performances at the international cultural evening to the Year of Neutrality and Peace. In his speech at the opening of the event, Tuan Haji Mohamed Noor Rosli Baharom, the UTP Deputy Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs & Alumni congratulated the staff of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia and representatives of the Turkmen youth with a jubilee year, passing under the sign of the 20th anniversary of permanent positive neutrality of Turkmenistan, and addressed to the brotherly people of Turkmenistan with sincere wishes of happiness, prosperity and success.

In the event, where participated about three thousand people from over 50 countries, Turkmen students familiarized participants with the history of Turkmenistan's neutral status, peace policy and the outstanding achievements of the country in the years of neutrality under the guidance of the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Turkmen folk dance "Kushtdepdi" and other presentations of Turkmen boys and girls in national dress on a background of a joint logo "20 year anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and Technological University of Petronas " caused genuine and keen interest in the leadership of the university, the public and representatives of the diplomatic corps, who took part in the event.

Improvised exhibition stand with Turkmen national products, carpets, souvenirs, musical instrument - dutar, as well as books and magazines about Turkmenistan, and detailed accounts of Turkmen students about the centuries-old folk traditions and today's economic and cultural transformations aroused great interest among visitors of the event.
