Meeting with the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur Datuk Seri Mahadi Che Ngah in the Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, DBKL

On March 23, 2023, a meeting was held between Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Malaysia M.Mashalov and the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur Datuk Seri Mahadi Che Ngah in the Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, DBKL (Municipality of Kuala Lumpur).

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the potential for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Malaysia, including in the field of urbanization. The Turkmen side made a presentation on the city of Arkadag, which is being built in Akhal province based on the concept of a "smart" city at the initiative of National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. It was particularly noted that ecologically clean materials are used in the buildings in Arkadag city, as well as the installation of modern innovative technologies that allow remote control of "smart" home services, and the development of "smart" system projects in the transport sector.

Thanking for the presentation, the Malaysian side highly appreciated the high quality of infrastructure in Arkadag city, built according to international standards, taking into account environmental protection and widespread use of IT technologies, and also expressed interest in developing cooperation and exchange of experience between our countries in the field of urban construction.
