On 22 April 2024, at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, the Eightieth session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) began its work.

Guided by the theme "Leveraging digital innovation for sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific", the annual session will provide an opportunities to strengthen regional cooperation in the field of digital innovations.

The session brought together Government leaders from across Asia and the Pacific in particular the Prime Ministers of the Kingdoms of Thailand and Cambodia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other key stakeholders to discuss issues of sustainable development in the region.

The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy is also participating in this session.

The ESCAP session will last until April 26, 2024.
