President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebrations in honor of the National Day of Turkmenistan at EXPO 2025

On April 14, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as part of his visit to Japan, took part in the ceremonial events dedicated to the National Day of Turkmenistan at the World Expo 2025.
In the morning, the motorcade of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stops in front of the main entrance to the reception building for distinguished guests of the World Expo 2025. Here, the head of state is warmly greeted by the Minister of Japan for World Expo 2025, Ito Yoshitaka, Chief Commissioner of World Expo 2025, Haneda Koji, and Chairman of the Japan-Turkmenistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Endo Toshiaki.
In the foyer, the head of Turkmenistan left a memorable entry in the Book of Honorary Guests of the World Expo 2025.
Then the President of Turkmenistan and the Japanese Minister for World Expo 2025 proceeded to the venue of the official ceremony on the occasion of the opening of the National Day of Turkmenistan.
The national anthems of Turkmenistan and Japan are performed, the national flags of the two countries are raised.
Opening the ceremony, Japanese Minister for World Expo 2025 Ito Yoshitaka congratulated everyone on the occasion of Turkmenistan’s National Day on behalf of his country’s Government, emphasizing that it was a great honor for him to celebrate the first National Day of World Expo 2025 together with Turkmenistan with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Noting that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero-Arkadag attach great importance to the development of partnership between the two friendly countries, Ito Yoshitaka expressed confidence that the Japanese and guests from various parts of the world will visit the Turkmenistan pavilion and receive detailed information about the attractiveness of the country.
Then President Serdar Berdimuhamedov delivered a welcoming speech.
Having sincerely congratulated everyone on the opening of the National Day of Turkmenistan at the World Expo 2025, the head of state wished the participants of the exhibition great success, expressing deep gratitude to the organizers for the excellent conditions created.
The head of state noted that the current World Expo is of particular importance for Turkmenistan. It is being held in the year declared by the UN General Assembly as the “International Year of Peace and Trust”. Peace, trust and equality should become the basis of global economic relations.
It is a great honor for our country to present the national exhibition exposition of Turkmenistan in Japan and that today's ceremony is taking place in the first days of the World Show, the head of state emphasized, expressing firm confidence that this will help establish business relations and open up new opportunities for cooperation.
Then the head of state, accompanied by Japanese officials, proceeded to the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan, where a colorful performance by Turkmen artists unfolded.
In a solemn atmosphere, to the applause of those gathered, the head of state cuts the symbolic ribbon.
The President of Turkmenistan and official representatives of Japan enter the building. Here, the distinguished guests are provided with detailed information about the three-story pavilion, on the first floor of which there is an immersive exhibition hall equipped with modern technology, introducing the history, culture, economic development and natural resources of Turkmenistan.
The wide use of new technologies and multimedia equipment allows for a clear picture and full information about the multifaceted economic and cultural potential, priority areas of development and prospects of Turkmenistan, confidently following the path of progress and prosperity.
Acquaintance with the exposition begins with watching a 3D animated video, telling about the history of our country, its beautiful nature, national wealth and successes achieved in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state.
Then the head of Turkmenistan and representatives of the friendly country went up to the second floor of the pavilion, where they got acquainted with the achievements in the construction of the city of Arkadag, as well as with the exhibits presented by the ministries and departments of our country.
During their acquaintance with the National Pavilion of our country, the representatives of Japan noted that Turkmenistan's great achievements in various sectors testify to the successful implementation of a well-thought-out economic strategy initiated by the Hero-Arkadag and now being implemented under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Having completed his inspection of the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the Japanese exhibition pavilion. Here, the head of state was warmly greeted by the pavilion’s leaders, who provided general information about the friendly state's exposition.
The Japanese pavilion consists of three main parts. The first section, entitled “The Past” introduces visitors to Japanese culture, traditions, and philosophy of life. The second section, “The Present” presents Japan’s achievements in technology, healthcare, transport, and energy. The third section, “The Future” introduces future technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotics.
Then the head of state was shown exhibits telling about the importance of waste circulation and recycling in life support.
After completing his tour of the National Pavilion of Japan, the head of state said goodbye and left the scene.
In the afternoon, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived at Kansai International Airport in Osaka and flew to Tokyo. A few hours later, the presidential plane landed at Haneda International Airport in Tokyo, decorated with the national flags of the two countries. Here, the head of state was warmly greeted by officials.
