The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) hosted reception on the occasion of 26th Anniversary of Independence Day of Turkmenistan and 25th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Turkmenistan and Malaysia

On 17^th of November, 2017, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), hosted reception on the occasion of 26^th Anniversary of Independence Day of Turkmenistan and 25^th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Turkmenistan and Malaysia.  Reception was organized in the Ballroom A of the “RENAISSANCE” hotel of Kuala Lumpur.

The ceremony was attended by the heads and representatives of the accredited in Malaysia Diplomatic Missions and the International Organizations, representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia and other Ministries, the Turkmen students and citizens of Turkmenistan, studying and temporarily residing in Malaysia.  

  From Malaysian Government Honorable Datuk Haji Ahmad Jazlan bin Yaakub, Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development of Malaysia, participated at the event as an Honorary Guest and  at the beginning of the ceremony delivered a speech and wished to His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, esteemed President of Turkmenistan, sound health, successes in his endeavors, prosperity and great achievements to the Government of Turkmenistan and its nation.

  In his speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Malaysia introduced the guests with the triumphs gained in the years of the state’s Independence and Turkmen-Malaysian relations. Concluding his speech, Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia for supporting the development of bilateral relations and wished the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia a robust health and wellbeing and the success and prosperity to the Government and the People of Malaysia.

  After the speeches of the Honorary Guest and Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Malaysia, the State Anthems of Malaysia and Turkmenistan  have been played and displayed video, dedicated to the achievements of Turkmenistan in the years of Independence, economic development, tourism opportunities, national heritage, history, nature and magnificent buildings of the country, were shown. 

After the presentation of videos, the guests were offered the food - Turkmen and Malay national cuisines and the ceremony continued with musical compositions of Turkmen composers and with Turkmen national songs.

        More than 200 guests attended to the holiday reception and it was organized from 19:30 to 21:30 in the spirit of unity, peace and festivity.
