SPORTS COMPETITIONS DEVOTED TO THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NEUTRALITY OF TURKMENISTAN HELD IN MALAYSIA

On October17, 2015 the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia held sports competitions on mini-football, chess and checkers among Turkmen students studying in various universities of Malaysia, on the eve of Independence Day of Turkmenistan. The competition was devoted to the 20th Anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan and declaration of 2015 as the “The Year of Neutrality and Peace”.

The competition which was participated by Turkmen students studying in Malaysian universities such as “Petronas”, “Limkokwing”, “Management and Science”, “SEGI”, “Multimedia”, “Taylor’s” and the international college “Westminster”, was held at the sports complex “Sunway” of the city of Subang Jaya situated in Selangor state.

The tournament on the mini-football was held between 6 teams of the above mentioned higher educational institutions. At the end of the tournament, the winning teams and the players who distinguished themselves were awarded with trophies, medals and valuable gifts on behalf of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia.

Also, the winners of chess and checkers competitions were awarded with medals and memorable prizes on behalf of the Embassy.
