Turkmen - Malaysian Business Forum in Kuala Lumpur

On November 25, 2015 the state and business structures of Turkmenistan and Malaysia took part in the Business Forum in the Matrade Exposition and Conference Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The reviews on the status and priorities for development of the economic policy of Turkmenistan and Malaysia were presented during the meeting. The most promising areas of mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed during the meetings held within the framework of the forum.

The fuel and energy complex, where Malaysia stands as one of the most significant and old partners of Turkmenistan, was specified as a key area of bilateral cooperation. There are also good opportunities for building up direct business relations between state structures and enterprises in the industrial sector. That includes investment in high-tech areas, in particular power industry, communications, transport and processing industry, agricultural processing and food industry.

Banking sphere, urban development and tourism industry were specified among the important areas of cooperation.

Particular attention  was given to the issues on increasing the trade turnover between the two states and creation of conditions for exporting goods produced in Turkmenistan to the Malaysian market. High-quality and ecologically friendly goods manufactured by private enterprises in Turkmenistan were demonstrated to Malaysian colleagues.
